Welcome Door Decal

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday.  I am super busy unpacking and putting together our new home.

I am also so excited to share all the projects I have going on.  LOL it seems like the house building process has took forever, especially since I am so excited to start decorating our home.

I wanted to share a cute and fun idea to dress up any door.  I wanted to start off by doing our front door.  I still need to stain it though.  I will share that entire process in a few weeks.  I decided to dress up our door that is inside the garage (man cave).

I love how much this little vinyl decal added detail to the door!  It was so super easy to put on the door too.  Another plus :)

Decorating My Scentsy

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having an exciting weekend.  I wanted to share a fun project with you today using a scentsy candle warmer.

I recently got a new scentsy catalog from one of my friends and was browsing through it the other day.  I found some decals they were selling to decorate the scentsy warmers.  How cool is that?!

I didn't find a decal that I was really digging...  I decided to use one of my favorite decals from EAD Designs.  I love love love these cute little flowers (lots of different designs on one sheet)  You can find them here:

Personalizing The Cooler

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!  I wanted to share a super simple and easy project using vinyl with you today.

This past week my hubby went to scout camp as a leader.  They needed to take a couple extra coolers to keep some food in.  I sent some of our up with him but first I wanted to add our name to them so they don't get lost among all the others.

I used my cricut die cutting machine and a basic font cartridge.  I then picked out a color from my favorite vinyl from EAD Designs and went to town.

What I have been up to....

I am back!  ... almost ;)
Life has been so busy the past few months I had no time to blog or really craft.  We are just finishing up building our new home.  Needless to say with all that and packing, I have been so busy.


My craftroom is all packed up a ready to be moved.  For some reason my craftroom was the last thing I packed up but I am sure it will be the first thing unpacked ;)


I have some really fun and exciting things in the works over the next few months.  I can't wait to tell you all.  Until then, have a fabulous day!

Mustache Cups

I wanted to share a fun project with you all today.  I found some really really really cute vinyl decals on the EAD Designs website a few weeks ago and just had to have them.  I knew what I wanted to make right away- some cute mustache cups.
Right now I have been seeing lots of fun and bright colored cups everywhere I go.  I purchased these ones at wal-mart the other day and they we so super affordable!  I think I may have to go back and purchase all the colors they have.

Aren't they just darling?! Think how much fun these would be for kids, family reunions, cook-outs and much more.  I can't wait to pull them out for our next get together.

My Favorite Vinyl And A Banner

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic 3 day weekend ;) For today's project I wanted to make something fun while answering one of my most asked questions. I always get this question: 

Where is the best place to get vinyl for your Cricut Machine? 

Answer:

I love making banners for all the Holidays and Special Occasions.  When I make a banner I want it to last for years.  I have tried just using paper letters and gluing them down.  Over time the glue starts to come apart and the letters fall off.  I have used other brands of vinyl and it is okay for a while but eventually it start peeling off.  I can say that I have never had a problem with the vinyl sheets from EAD DESIGNS.

Personalizing Photo Albums

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday!  It is so crazy that we are almost through with May.  Where did this month go?  Anyways, I am so excited for June!  I have some super fun project ideas for you.  If you like new home decor ideas, you will surely love what I have coming up.


In the meantime I have a quick project for you today.  I also have a little secret...  It may seem like I would be the type of person who makes scrapbooking layouts for birthdays, trips and holidays.  That is FAR FROM THE TRUTH!  I don't even have a personal scrapbook...  Crazy huh!


Well I have been organizing my photos and putting them in photo albums.  I wanted to share how I am personalizing the albums.  All I used was some of my favorite vinyl from EAD DESIGNS and a die cut machine.  If you don't have a die cut machine, no worries EAD DESIGNS can create something to fit your needs.  They are so awesome to help anyone out!

Guest Designer Madison

Welcome to Inking it Up Crazy!

My name is Madison and I am the guest designer today.  

Thank you Kassidy for letting me post on your fabulous blog!

Today I will be sharing with you a special treat I made for my mom.  Her birthday is this weekend, but I decided to surprise her and share this treat with her a few days early.  For those of you who don't know, my mom is gluten intolerant and eats gluten free.  I wanted to combine her lack of "fun" treats with this project and create a cool idea that I could share with you today.

I created a treat box and gift tag. The box is filled with homemade gluten free blueberry scones:)  My mom LOVED these as much as I loved making them for her.  This project is easy to do.  You can see how a container like this can be filled with so many different treats and covered with so many different kinds of paper.  The possibilities are endless.

The cutting file came with stripes and a popcorn logo, which I eliminated. I did not need them for this project.  All the measurements were predetermined with the file I purchased at Silhouette America.  For this project I cut the file out of white card stock first and again out of patterned paper.  I wanted it to be nice and sturdy so that it would hold my treats.  Thus, the finished project is two layers. 

This is how it looks when it is cut.  Only one file could be cut at a time using the card stock since the paper is 8.5" x 11".  The sides and bottom are already perforated.

The patterned paper cuts nicely two on a page since I used a 12" x 12" piece of paper.  I found that using a Cricut mat works really well in my Cameo.

This is much easier to read in person.  Sorry I couldn't get a good photo.  You can see that ideas for creating a tag include adding a shadow, embossing the background, adding some flowers, adding your sentiment and perhaps some doodling.

Tutorial

1. Using the Cameo, cut popcorn box file x 4 out of white card stock.  
2. Repeat using patterned paper.
3. Adhere the patterned paper to the white card stock.
4. Assemble the popcorn box.
5. Tie a bow around the center of the box.
6. Create a tag with a shadow using any Cricut cartridge or cutting file.
7. Add sentiment and embellishments to the front.
8. Tie the tag to the popcorn box.
9. Fill the popcorn box with treats.

Exploring The Spring Holiday Cards Cricut Cartridge

Hi everyone! This is Kassidy from Inking It Up Crazy. I am so super excited to be a part of the fabulous Memory Miser design team!  This month I got to explore the Cricut Cartridge: Spring Holiday Cards


I am going to be honest, when I first seen Provo Craft release this cartridge, I thought it was okay...  Something I couldn't see myself ever using.  It looked like it took the creativity out of cardmaking.
After getting the chance to play with it, I couldn't be more wrong.


This would be a great cartridge for anyone!  The beginning crafter to the advance crafter.  
What I liked about it was:

•  EASY TO USE (only 2 cuts to make an entire card)
• Great for those that don't have a lot of time to create a card.  
• Great for kids to use.
• Matching Envelopes
• AMAZING GIFT BOXES (If it was me, I would definitely purchase this cartridge for just the gift boxes alone)

Here are a few projects I made with the Spring Holiday Cards:

Wouldn't this be a fun gift box for any "fungi" in your life.  I have such a hard time making boyish projects but this cartridge makes it super easy.

I  love the gift boxes so much that I created some for mothers day!  I also used the April Showers Cricut Cartridge to cut the flower.

For this one, I need a gift card holder for a birthday and decided to turn a basic envelope cut into a gift card holder.  I used the back of the envelope as the front and added some inking, button, twine and a fun stamp from My Pink Stamper that Memory Miser also sales.
