Bless This Home

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. Can you believe that summer is coming down to a close.Don't get me wrong, I love summer.  I am just so over this heat and dryness!  I am wanting some snow soon ;)

Well we have been busy with lots of events lately.  Lots of weddings, showers and family members moving.  I like to give  little house warming gifts to our families and friends.  I decided I need to make a housewarming gift at the very last minute.  I didn't have time to buy a cute vinyl decal from EAD Designs, so I decided to make one with my cricut cutting machine.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Supplies Used:

No worries if you don't have a cutting machine.  EAD Designs has some super darling decals and you can even have them create something custom for you.

See you all next Saturday with another fun vinyl project!

Kid Craft Using Vinyl

Hi everyone!  I hope you have all had a wonderful week!  I was asked by one of my followers if there was a vinyl project that kids could do.  I can up with this fun one:

All you need is-

Kids would LOVE LOVE LOVE decorating their own containers!  They could be used as a piggy bank, pencil holder, hair accessory holder and much more.  This would also make a fun gift!

Vinyl and Scrapbooking

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous day!  I was hoping to enjoy some spring weather today but instead I woke up to SNOW!!!  Crazy!

Anyways I had a few question about how to incorporate vinyl in your scrapbook projects.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE using vinyl in my scrapbooking/cardmaking projects.  I like using it because I know that the vinyl will stay forever.  I don't have to worry that over time the vinyl will start to loose its stickiness.  I also like it because sometimes it is really hard to put adhesive on little letter and elements.  I don't have to worry about smearing glue all over my project with vinyl.

Here are a couple paper crafts that I have made using vinyl:

I added the word 'AMERICA' on a scrapbook layout!  I love the shiny and smooth texture it adds.

I have such a hard time creating cards for men.  I have a lot of cricut cartridges but they are all cutesy, not manly....  I was really excited that EAD DESIGNS creates these awesome vinyl rub-ons.  There are so many cute ones.  You can check them out here.

Be sure to head on over the EAD Designs and check out all the vinyl and rub-ons that you can use in your papercrafts.  See you next Saturday with another fun vinyl project :)

Vinyl Home Decor Project

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!  It is great weather here, I think I am going to play in the sunshine:)  Before I leave, I wanted to share a fun home decor project with you today.

I purchased a bunch of unfinished wood frames a few months ago.  I like to have a few on hand so I can create a quick gift if I need one.

I cut down a 12x12 paper to fit the size of the frame and attached it with Mod Podge.  I then created some rolled flowers with the extra paper scraps that I cut.

I used some of my favorite vinyl sheets from EAD Designs.  I cut it using my Cricut Expression Cutting Machine.  If you don't have a cutting machine, no worries.  EAD Designs has a fun little design center on the website that lets you create what you need.  How awesome is that?!
This frame was super easy to make and would make a great gift for someone :)
See you all next Saturday with another fun vinyl project!

Items Used:
  • Unfinished Wood Frame
  • Paper- Cosmo Cricket
  • Mod Podge
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun

A very GREEN Project

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a fantastic St. Patricks Day.  I hope you remembered to wear your GREEN ;)  In honor of St. Patty's Day, I created a very GREEN project.

First off I found a piece of scrap wood I had laying around.  I painted it GREEN and sanded the edges for a worn look.

I then dug through my vinyl scraps and found a small piece of vinyl.
I like to save my GREEN and get as much out of a sheet of vinyl that I can.  To make a shamrock, I used my Cricut Expression Machine.  I then added a little sparkly GREEN shamrock sticker and some GREEN ribbon.

This project was super easy and fun to do.  I made a little something to celebrate the GREEN holiday today and also saved a little GREEN by digging through my scraps :)

Have a fantastic day!

Supplies Used:
  • Wood Block
  • Sander
  • Green Paint
  • Cricut Expression Cutting Machine
  • Paperdoll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge
  • Vinyl (EAD DESIGNS)
  • Glitter Shamrock Sticker
  • Ribbon

Before and After Vinyl Project

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic day! I wanted to share a super duper easy gift idea for you all.

I don't know about you, I have the hardest time trying to pick out a "manly" gift. I usually give out gift cards. Sometimes I don't have time or the budget to go grab a gift card.

I am also obsessed with the dollar store. You can find some really fun things in there!  I was in the dollar store a few weeks ago and found some of these metal water bottles. I thought I could dress them up with vinyl and they would make a perfect gift!

My dads birthday is coming up soon and I fell in love with this hunting vinyl rub-on set. He is a major hunter and I know he will love it:)

Isn't this a fun and easy gift idea?
This would make a fabulous party favor gift too!
Check out all the other vinyl rub-ons that would
go perfectly with a project like this:)

See you all next week with  another fun vinyl project!

I found this adorable Valentine decal from EAD Designs that would go perfectly with a charger plate that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

Love Vinyl Decor Block

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday!  I am excited to share a fun Valentine's decor idea with you today.  We are currently building a new home and we have lots and lots of extra pieces of wood.  You will be seeing a bunch of wood crafts over the next several weeks :)
Anyways, I picked out a block of wood and had my hubby teach me how to use his new saw.  I got a little carried away and cut tons of pieces for future projects.

I sanded the edges of the block and painted it black.
I then sanded the painted edges for a more worn look.  After that I added one of my favorite vinyl decals from EAD Designs

It turned out darling!  I love it!

See you next Saturday with another fun vinyl craft.

Vinyl Snowflake Plate

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday.  I wanted to share a fun project that I made in December and didn't post (It was a CRAZY month).
I like to have a holiday themed plate on my kitchen counter.  I had a cute snowflake one last Christmas but it broke :(  I decided to make my own.
I still wanted to stick with a snowflake theme, so I pulled out my Cricut cutting machine and some vinyl sheets from EAD DESIGNS.

After a few minutes I decorated a plain plate into something extra cute!  Now I need to make a plate for Valentines Day:)  I just am having a hard time trying to decide what cute Valentine vinyl decal to get from EAD DESIGNS because they are all too stinkin' cute!

Personalized Gifts

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday.  I hope that everyone got a tummy full of yummy turkey this week.  I also hope you got some good deals during black Friday.  If you are like me, I celebrated black Friday in my PJ's sitting in front of the computer browsing websites to pick up a few must haves.  That way I don't have to fight the crazy crowds.

This year I decided to make Christmas extra special.  Instead of giving store bought gifts, I am going to make everything handmade.  I LOVE getting a handmade gift.  I was browsing the EAD Designs website the other day looking for some special things that I can use for everyone on my Christmas list.  There were so many cute and fun things that anyone would love.  It was such a hard decision on what to get.  After a few minutes of narrowing down my selection, I decided I need to make me a little something too.

I found a really pretty vinyl decal that is personalized for a wedding day.  I picked it up because I have nothing in my house like this and so my hubby will always remember our anniversary.  ;)

I decided to stick the vinyl decal in a frame setting.  I stuck the vinyl on the glass, that way I can change out the background paper when I want a little something different.

This would make an AWESOME wedding gift too!  Any couple will surely treasure it forever.

Be sure to check out the fun things in the EAD Designs store, there are some GREAT Christmas gifts for everyone on your list.

Here is the product I used:

My Two Loves- Vinyl and Paper

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you are all
having a FABULOUS day! I am super
excited to share a couple of projects with
you!

When most people think of vinyl, they
think of putting it on walls, wood, glass,
and windows.  Have you ever thought
of putting it on paper?

You can create an endless amount of
home decor items by using my two
favorite things- paper and vinyl!

I love to use vinyl on my scrapbooking
layouts because over time the adhesive
you use on your titles seems to wear
and not keep your layout in place.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE using vinyl
when I make titles on my pages.  The
vinyl is going to stay put FOREVER!

Here is a few projects I did this week
using vinyl and paper.  I am starting to
get in the Christmas spirit!

I have ordered a lot of vinyl in my day and the best
vinyl and the highest quality is found at EAD Designs.

You can buy the cutest vinyl decals or
buy plain sheets and create something
yourself:)

A Spooky Pumpkin Full of Guts

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all  having a FANTASTIC
October Saturday.  We are just trying to stay warm here in
Utah... youwould think Christmas was just around the corner
with all the snow on the ground.  Anyways, I still have a few
Halloween projects to share with you before I start the fun
Christmas ones.

My favorite thing ever this time of year is PUMPKINS!  I
love love love love PUMPKINS!  I am really not a huge
fan of carving pumpkins because it gets so cold here and they
don't last very long at all.  I like my pumpkins to last until
Thanksgiving.

So I was browsing that fabulous EAD Designs Website and
I found this darling vinyl pumpkin face!  YAY now my pumpkin
will last forever!

It's that time of year!!!!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday!
We are sure staying busy working on our house.  It seems like
that's all we did all summer and it made the months go by extra
fast.  In May we were praying for no more SNOW!!!  No we
just hope it starts to get cooler...
Anyways, I get so excited every Labor Day because I start
to decorate for Fall and Halloween!  Early- I know...  This is
my FAVORITE time of year!!!!
I am extra excited because EAD Designs has the CUTEST
vinyl decals ever!  Great for your fall crafting projects.  I seriously
want EVERYTHING in the store!

I wanted to kick off this month with a fun and easy fall craft using
a tile.  You can pick up these tiles for under $1 at almost any home
improvement store.

I simply cleaned off the tile- making sure there was no more dust
and dirt on it so the vinyl will stick well.

I added some fabulous vinyl from EAD Designs found here:
http://stencilwords.com/ocart/index.php?route=product/product&keyword=thankful&category_id=0&product_id=1444

and tada:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  I am so 'thankful' for EAD Designs!
