Thank You- Leaf Card

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Does your weekend seem to go as fast as mine do?  LOL  Anyways, I wanted to share a card I made last week with you.  This card first started out really really simple.  I didn't have the twine on it at first.  I thought it looked a little "blah" and threw some of my favorite twine on it and it really made it pop!  I love my Timeless Twine!

Here is what I created:

Items Used:

  • Paper- The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby), Bo Bunny
  • White Gel Pen
  • Cricut Expression Machine
  • Cricut Cartridge- Sophie
  • Corner Chomper
  • Stamp- My Pink Stamper
  • Twine- Black Coffee (You Can Find It Here)

See you all in a little while:)  Have a twine-tastic day!
Hugs!

Vinyl Flower Decor Plate

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a great Saturday.  I wanted to share a really fun project with you that I created this week.  I had to run a few errands earlier this week and made a quick stop by the dollar store.  I found these bright and fun dinner plates and thought that would look so super duper cute with some vinyl on it and on plate holder.
After debating a few minutes on what color to get... it seriously took me forever!  There were a ton of cool colors.  I decided to pick up this orange one.

I decided I needed to add something fun and "summery" to my kitchen table.  I used my Cricut Expression cutting machine and found a cartridge with a cute flower on it.  I used my favorite vinyl from EAD Designs to cut.  You can find it here:

I really loved how it turned out!  I can't wait to set it up in my kitchen!
Items Used:
  • Plate- Dollar Store
  • Cricut Expression Cutting Machine
  • Cricut Cartridge (Sophie- cricut circle exclusive)
  • Vinyl- EAD Designs

See you all next Saturday with another fun project using vinyl!   I just may do a fun kid craft ;)

Paper: Solids SU!
DSP: green dots from HL Gray no idea!
Ribbon from American Crafts
Black and white tape is K&Company Smash Tape
Car cut from Cricut B is For Boy Cartridge

Be sure to stop by Sarah's blog:

Thanks so much for being a guest designer Sarah!

A Dog's Heart Is Full Of Love- Create A Critter

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic day!  Last night, I decided to make a card using one of my favorite Cricut Cartridges (Create A Critter).   I usually use the same cuts, so I changed it up this time.  I used a cut that I have never used.  I loved how it turned out and how super easy it was to layer.

Check it out:

Personalized Teacher Gift With Vinyl

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday.  We are working on our house this weekend.  We are getting pretty close to be moving in.  The painters are coming next week.  We hope to be in the end of May or the first of June.  I can't wait until June because I have some awesome projects in the works to share.  Lots of cool home decor ideas using vinyl from EAD Designs.

I was thinking about what holidays are coming up and I remembered that teacher appreciaiton week is May 7-11.  I came up with a super easy and affordable gift idea to give to those special teachers.

I made a post it note holder.  All you need to make one is:
  • Chipboard (4 inch square)
  • Paper
  • Binder Clip
  • Mod Podge

After I was done I thought it needed a little extra something.  I pulled out my cricut and a font cartridge.  I grabbed my favorite vinyl sheets from EAD Designs and cut out a letter.
No worries if you don't have a cutting machine.  EAD Designs has an awesome design center where you can create your own and they cut it out for you:)  How awesome is that?!
I am sure any teacher would like a personalized gift :)  See you all next Saturday with another vinyl project.

Vinyl and Scrapbooking

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous day!  I was hoping to enjoy some spring weather today but instead I woke up to SNOW!!!  Crazy!

Anyways I had a few question about how to incorporate vinyl in your scrapbook projects.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE using vinyl in my scrapbooking/cardmaking projects.  I like using it because I know that the vinyl will stay forever.  I don't have to worry that over time the vinyl will start to loose its stickiness.  I also like it because sometimes it is really hard to put adhesive on little letter and elements.  I don't have to worry about smearing glue all over my project with vinyl.

Here are a couple paper crafts that I have made using vinyl:

I added the word 'AMERICA' on a scrapbook layout!  I love the shiny and smooth texture it adds.

I have such a hard time creating cards for men.  I have a lot of cricut cartridges but they are all cutesy, not manly....  I was really excited that EAD DESIGNS creates these awesome vinyl rub-ons.  There are so many cute ones.  You can check them out here.

Be sure to head on over the EAD Designs and check out all the vinyl and rub-ons that you can use in your papercrafts.  See you next Saturday with another fun vinyl project :)

Vinyl Home Decor Project

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!  It is great weather here, I think I am going to play in the sunshine:)  Before I leave, I wanted to share a fun home decor project with you today.

I purchased a bunch of unfinished wood frames a few months ago.  I like to have a few on hand so I can create a quick gift if I need one.

I cut down a 12x12 paper to fit the size of the frame and attached it with Mod Podge.  I then created some rolled flowers with the extra paper scraps that I cut.

I used some of my favorite vinyl sheets from EAD Designs.  I cut it using my Cricut Expression Cutting Machine.  If you don't have a cutting machine, no worries.  EAD Designs has a fun little design center on the website that lets you create what you need.  How awesome is that?!
This frame was super easy to make and would make a great gift for someone :)
See you all next Saturday with another fun vinyl project!

Items Used:
  • Unfinished Wood Frame
  • Paper- Cosmo Cricket
  • Mod Podge
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Cricut Expression Cutting Machine
